ABOUT US

Dana is originally from Oklahoma. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and owned her own company for 25 years in San Francisco, prior to moving to Raleigh. Every summer, Dana’s mom was a volunteer swimming instructor, and Dana always wanted to tag along. By the age of four, she was already swimming competitively and worked her way up to competing nationally with USA Swimming. Dana became a Water Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross at the age of 16 and has been teaching ever since. She has also been a stroke and turn judge for USA swimming, coached swim teams, and volunteered for the American Red Cross to teach near-drowning victims. Dana joined the TSS family in September of 2022 as an instructor and was appointed the Director in August 2024. She is very excited to use her experience and organizational skills to take TSS to the next level.
