Coach Matt

I grew up in a large family of eight, so I have been around kids my whole life. My swim teaching background is extensive having taught infants, adults, and hundreds of kids.
I have a strong competitive swimming background having coached two undefeated summer league teams in Colorado. I was also a captain on my high school swim team.
I taught both of my kids to swim from the time they were infants. My son Michael has ranked either first or second place in the State of North Carolina for backstroke (LCM) from 2005 - 2007. He was also the high point winner at the Cary Invitational in 2005 & 2007.
His sister Morgan, aged 8, was the 2nd place high point winner at the S.W.I.M. Invitational in 2006.
Teaches - Every level and course.
Coach Gloria

Gloria, our newest addition to the Triangle Swim School family is a recent transplant from Southern Pines, NC. After working in the medical field for over 10 years, she decided to change careers and continue with a sport she has loved for most of her life, swimming.
She has competed at the high school and college level in swimming and continues to enjoy sharing her knowledge of the sport with all swimming levels. She has taught swimming to all age groups from mom and tots to beginning and intermediate levels. Her love of the sport shows in each class and in the attention given to each student and their individual swimming needs.
Her spare time is devoted to her other passion horses, where she does rehab and exercise work on them. She has also competed for several years in triathlons.

Coach Stewart

Stewart is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He was a member of the Varsity Swimming & Diving team and was a four year letter winner. After walking on to the team his freshman year, he earned a scholarship before his final season. Although he was never the biggest or the most talented swimmer, he proved to be a dedicated technician to each of his strokes and by his final year, he became a key contributor to the team.
He is currently a commercial banker with SunTrust Bank. After coaching part-time with RSA in January and February of 2008, he left the club to pursue his career in banking but has recently decided to come back to the sport on the weekends.
”I have spent way too many years involved with the sport to just leave it so soon. I hope to help others reach their goals and have fun along the way.”
Teaches - Swim Team Prep, Stroke Technique Elite, Stroke Development, 7 & UP, 5/6 YR Olds.
Coach Maureen

Coach Mo started swimming competitively when she was 5 years old. Although she did not win a single ribbon that year, she kept with the sport and through hard work and determination excelled the following year. She continued swimming competitively for several swim teams over 13 years, during which time she was invited to participate in a high altitude Olympic training camp through her private swim team and walk onto her varsity high school swim team and qualify as a member of the all-state swim team all 4 years of high school.
Coach Mo has always been interested in science and mathematics and is currently a rising senior at NCSU as a biomedical engineer. Throughout college, Coach Mo has worked as both a swim coach for The Woodlands Hurricanes in her hometown in Texas and as a private swim instructor. She believes that all sports, especially swimming, have a foundation in science – after all, your body is a machine, and enjoys sharing her knowledge to the benefit of her students’ stroke mechanics.
