| MINNOWS & ME 1 5 (children) : 1 (instructor) 6 months - 3 years | Saturday classes have 10 students with 2 instructors. The focus of M&M 1 is to create a playgroup environment in which parents can bond and play with their children while working on water adjustment. Parents participate in guided sessions with stations in an activity circuit designed toward building water confidence and swimming readiness. This class helps parents learn how to handle and teach their children in the water, while focusing on floating, development of sensory and tactile skills, and introducing submersion and submersion cues. Develop communication skills between the parent and child to help build a healthy water relationship. ***The main function of these classes is for water acclimation and fun! We are very limited by the children's motor skills on what they can learn at this young age. It is normal for kids to repeat levels based on instructor recommendation. | MINNOWS & ME 2 5 (children) : 1 (instructor) 9 months - 3 years | Saturday classes have 10 students with 2 instructors. This class is for children that have completed M&M 1 and are comfortable in the water, know basic water safety, and are comfortable with submersion and floating. As the child progresses, distance of swims and lengths of submersion will be increased. This class expands upon the skills base from M&M 1. Children work on developing more comfort in back float and breath control. ***The main function of these classes is for water acclimation and fun! | MINNOWS & ME 3 4 (children) : 1 (instructor) 1 - 3 years | This class is for children who have mastered level 1 and 2 skills but are not old enough to move to the Super Minnow class. They will continue to work on developing their existing skills as well as being introduced to some new skills such as rolling from stomach to back in order to float. They learn to swim about 5 feet from instructor to parents. Focus will be on water safety and gaining independence. | ![]() |
| MINNOWS & ME 4 (Super Minnows) 3 (children) : 1 (instructor) 2 - 3 years | This is a transition class in which children begin to swim less with their parents and more with the instructor. Participants of this class must have taken M&M 3 and have permission from the instructor to advance. Preparing the kids to be independent enough to sit on the stairs so they will be able to participate in the next level (3/4 YR class) without their parents. This class is designed for children over 2 ½ years of age. Will transition from baby style of teaching and swimming to independent level classes. Children may take this class more than once in order to prepare for future classes. | ![]() |
